Omer W. Sprunger, 76, Berne, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at the Adams County Hospital. He was born to Oscar and Emma(Hofstetter) on March 4, 1936. He married Laura(Neuenschwander) who is deceased.

Omer was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church where he attended regularly. He retired from the Berne Furniture Co.working in the mill room with over 40 years of service. He enjoyed sports and played both baseball and softball. He was an avid bowler and was voted into the Adams County Bowl of Fame. The joy of his life was his grandchildren.

Survivors include, a daughter, Suzette(Ralph) Lammlein, New Haven, step daughters, Gloria Thornton, Berne, Beth(Steve) Koehler, Linn Grove, and a step son, Doug(Kim) Bauman, Monroe. Also 2 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and 5 great-grand children and 9 step great-grandchildren. And 2 sisters, Claranell(Elmer) Smith, Berne and Lucinda Coblentz, Berne.

Preceding in death are his parents and wife.

Funeral services are Thursday at 10 am at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Berne, with visitation there 1 hour prior to services. Visitation also Wednesday from 2-7 pm at the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home.

Burial at the Decatur Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to the Trinity United Methodist Church.
